Stunning hand-carved antique French solid white oak Louis XIII style desk with a beautiful though not original tapestry writing surface. There is a chip in the top border but it is structurally sound and is otherwise in very nice condition for its age (see detailed photos). The barley twist legs and stretcher give this desk charm and presence and two useful drawers with carved fronts and drop-pulls complete the look. This would be a wonderful addition to a home office or living room, it is finished all the way around, giving it the ability to float within a room.
