Early old-world craftsmanship paired with solid French walnut make this pantalonnière an amazing home furnishing. Three deep drawers glide effortlessly when you rely on the original hand forged hardware. The carvings are extensive with bold corners, pierced and scalloped aprons and florals with an arabesque influence. An untouched original finish completes this fine commode.
Purchased from an avid antique dealer living in a 12th century chateau in Narbonne, France, this commode has never been restored. When it arrived here, our conservation shop gave it a detailed list of precision repairs, knowing that like a classic car, they are only original once. This chest is not only a stellar antique but, also a fine investment for the future.
