Found in the northern part of Ireland in County Cavan, is this incredible early 1900’s greenhouse. Whomever owned the greenhouse, had the good sense to mount it on wheels and we are assuming it was meant to bring the greenhouse into the barn during the dormant and cold Winter months. Constructed from Iron, steel and thin hand-made wavy glass, which we have tried to clean the best we could, but obviously failed glass cleaning greenhouse 101. Our best hypothesis on how this greenhouse came to fruition, is that someone was probably taking down a large turn-of-the-century greenhouse and used the components to construct a smaller more usable and mobile greenhouse. In the last 30-years of importing from Europe, this antique moveable greenhouse has to go down as one of our all-time favorite purchases.
