Certainly, one of our most unusual and at the same time, quite spectacular looking kitchen island. This particular kitchen island began life in a City of Chicago Bank, for who else could have afforded to construct an island out of solid bronze? Beautifully and artfully crafted and we just installed a new honed Carrara marble top. The bronze island would have been floating in the lobby of a downtown Chicago bank and included blank deposit slips etc., so it was important the island looked as nice as its surroundings. We are thinking this could have been built during the 1920’s. Please note the height, but if you look closely at the feet, we can lower the island by approximately .75”.
