An absolutely, all original and cosmetically unrestored French leather club chair, that appears to have been restored internally only while still in France. The springs of the club chair feel tight and you don’t sink into the back of the seat cushion, like so many of the old French club chairs. Cosmetically, the original velvet seat upholstery is still intact and not only usable, but extremely comfortable. Over the last 30-years of collecting French leather club chairs, we have found that the vast majority of the older chairs did have velvet seat cushions. The leather covering only required some minor attention and none of the panels have been replaced. This is what I would describe as an honest and unmolested French club chair, that somehow managed to avoid the disaster of an uneducated restorer.
**There have been repairs to the leather. Please note image 3, top left corner, image 15 and image 20.
