Art Deco 1910-1939, is a style of architecture and design first appearing in France, just prior to World War I. The name Art Deco, was derived from International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts held in Paris in 1925. Art Deco at the time, represented real luxury and glamour, combined with the finest materials available. This particular Art Deco sofa, has as nice a walnut grain and finish, as any piece we have had in the last 25 years. Typically, we would probably not be looking for an Art Deco sofa, but this one was so over the top, we simply could not resist. Our old plank finishing department, spent over 160 hours, to create a finish that does justice to the craftsmen, who built this Art Deco sofa almost 100 years ago. The fabric is hand-washed Irish linen and this Art Deco sofa, is a comfortable as it is beautiful. In our biased opinion, this is as nice as it gets. There is one more interesting fact and that is, you can have the option of having a queen-size bed, mount off of the back side of the sofa. **Seat height of the sofa is 19.5" and the depth of the sofa without the bed is 49.13"
