Pair of matching Arabescato marble and steel side tables or coffee tables by Florence Knoll, who was an American architect, interior designer and furniture designer. Knoll is credited with bringing modern aesthetics to the office. Florence was born in 1917 in Michigan and later enrolled in Kingswood School for Girls, followed by Cranbrook Academy of Art. Florence moved to New York in 1941, where she met and later married Hans Knoll, who was in the furniture business. This particular style Knoll side table or coffee table were designed in 1954 and are signed. Florence passed away in 2019, but her legacy will live on forever.
**There are a few scratches in the marble, only the ones along the side showed in the photo. The table on the right has a large scratch on the top. There are some very minor scratches in the chrome. Please pay close attention to all detail photos.
