Unusual scale Napoleon III end table, or small writing desk, circa 1880-1900. The black is an original ebonized finish applied over 100 years ago and lets a slight glimmer of the brown of the oak peek through. Beautifully hand dove-tailed drawers, both front and back, with a solid oak drawer bottom. No repairs to the marble, although the sheen is long gone, it now sports more of a worn honed appearance.
