What started as the Rochester Coil Company in 1908; 8-years later was known as The North East Electric Company and became part of General Motors by 1929. Shortly thereafter, the name changed to the Delco Light Company and the name further to Delco Appliance. After WWII Dayton Fan and Motor Company, finally morphed into The Day-Fan Electric Company.
