Antique Item

Our original 18th century Cricket Table derived its name beginning in the 16th century, from the French word “criquet” referring to the stick leg design. Three legs were used for stability on uneven surfaces and back then, everything had an uneven surface. Rumor has it that the Cricket Tables were brought out onto the spectator lawns as the people were watching the Cricket matches. Soon the Cricket tables became a very useful and traditional piece of furniture and in our 34-years of importing the Cricket Tables they have remained a true constant in popularity and can function as Corner Table, Side Table, Nightstand Table and End table. Basically speaking, any good looking small functional piece of furniture that blends seamlessly with all styles and ages of furniture is bound to remain popular and finding a real 200-year old one today is a true gift. I guess it goes without saying, that this Cricket Table has incredible patina, that I only wish I knew how to copy.
Condition: Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. We did virtually no work to this table other than a proper cleaning and checking for stability.
