Antique French Directoire Buffet with its Original Marble Top still in place. Our inhouse Old Plank Restoration department carefully stripped the old finish, without the use of any harsh chemicals down to the bare mahogany and rebuilt the entire Directoire Buffet as necessary without taking any shortcuts. After which our Old Plank Finishing department gave the Antique Directoire Buffet an old world Ebonized finish. Directoire style furniture was a period in France during the later part of the French Revolution (1795-1799) and incorporates the style of Neoclassical architectural forms, minimal carving and falls between Louis XVI and the Empire period. What’s nice about our Directoire Buffet are the clean crisp lines that allow the Buffet to blend seamlessly with both modern, or antique furnishings. Please note that the marble is old and original to the buffet and will have minor surface imperfections as one would expect.
