Antique French Farm Table with Very Rare 2-Board Top which almost always indicates a really old table and based on how much work was required to make the table once more structurally sound we'd guess it was about 200-years old. The most unusual aspect of the table are the top two-boards that make up the top of the table and our best hypothesis is that they are probably a figured beech wood, which is a first for us. The Antique French Farm Table top is not dead flat, but nor will you spill your cabernet sauvignon; it's just really old and beautiful at the same time. Our French Farm Table has those sought after classic tapered legs that instantly lets you know it was from France. The Farm Style Country French DIning Room Table was completely restored structurally and left cosmetically unrestored, although we could always refinish the table, but they are only original once. France, 1800-1840.
Condition: Good. Repaired: Structurally we restored the table without disturbing the original patina to the beautiful figured beech wood top surface. Wear consistent with age and use. Please note that the top is wavy.
