Antique Louis Philippe Mirror still in its all Original Silver Leaf and Gold Leaf finish. The Mirror itself has begun to sugar and as good as restorers are, I am not aware of anyone mastering the art of sugaring an old mirror, other than mother nature herself. This Antique Louis Philippe Mirror is by the best of our knowledge completely original and was certainly made in the 1800’s. Louis Philippe I (6 October 1773 – 26 August 1850), was nicknamed the Citizen King and reigned as the King of France from 1830 to 1848. Louis Philippe was also the last ruler of France to hold the title of King. Louis Philippe furniture was an eclectic combination of various styles, most notably French neoclassicism and neo-Gothic. King Louis Philippe’s personality inspired a casual nature reflected in his style, which was informal and comfortable. We have been offering Louis Philippe furniture for over 30-years and it has never gone out of style and seems to blend with modern as well as classic, which explains its popularity.

Condition: Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Very nice all original condition with no visible prior repairs.
