Custom Gilt Mirror
Old Plank CollectionGILBERT POILLERAT (1902-1988) The French ironworker and designer Monsieur Poillerat, is but one of a handful of the most famous metalworkers of the last 100-years. Poillerat studied at the Ecole Boulle School in Paris and from the early 20’s until 1927, worked for Edgar Brandt in Paris, as both a designer and fabricator of wrought-iron furnishings and accessories. By 1928, Poillerat was exhibiting at the Salon d’Automne. Immediately after WWII in 1946, Poillerat became a professor at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Decoratifs and organized his own workshop and later began working with Jacques Adnet. The mirror as shown was inspired from one of Poillerat designs and can be fabricated in any dimension or finish you desire.
