Huge French Oil on Canvas, circa late 1930s of a Delahaye Automobile. We cannot decide if this was painted in a large-scale, only to be reduced for an advertisement, or poster? Possibly commissioned for a Parisian Delahaye showroom? The Delahaye automobile company founded by Émile Delahaye in 1894, France and closed in 1954, but not after producing some of the world’s most beautiful Automobiles. The first Delahaye cars were belt-driven, with a single or twin-cylinder engine, mounted at the rear. The Delahaye’s were an instant success.
