French Hand-Made Louis XVI Style DIning Room Armchairs in our Classic Old Plank Weathered White 9-Step Painted Finish and covered in a pure Wool Mohair. Your choices of finishes are virtually endless as are the COM fabrics and leathers available. Yes, we also have the matching Louis XVI Side Chairs. For years we had been searching for a proper size and “comfortable” Louis XVI Armchair and finally we found the perfect Louis XVI style Chairs from a gorgeous set of circa 1800's from Chateau de I’ Oise in France. The Louis XVI seat was just a little wider and a smidge deeper and the back relaxed a few more degrees, which made for the absolute perfect Louis XVI style Dining Room Chair. They just sat so right, that we decided to reproduce them; not by some automated machine in Asia, but the old fashion way, by hand. Look at the radius carved corners of the seats and if you look carefully, you will see that they are slightly different and all the edges have clear crisp carving marks, which is not what you would get by a machine-made Louis XVI Chair. All the connections are mortise and tenon. We will offer our French armchairs and Side Chairs in virtually any finish and upholstery is COM.
