In 1996 André Bourrié was commissioned by the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games to create an image for sailing and thus became the Official Artist by the Atlanta Olympic Organizing Committee. The Atlanta Olympic Poster was called “Passage to Savannah”. André has become a distinguished maritime and landscape artist and is one of France’s foremost contemporary master painters. André Bourrié received innumerable awards, such as the Gold Medal of the prestigious “Salon de la Marine” and the Gold Medal of the “Salon des Artistes Français”. Currently, André Bourrié is famous for his beautiful and elegant paintings of the French countryside and sea. André Bourrié paintings are in many private as well as institutional collections throughout the entire world. The painting is called; Le Petit Figuier. France, 1980-1990.
