Hansa Plush Mechanical Stuffed Hippopotamus Hansa was created in 1972 by German-born Hans Axthelm. Each and every Hansa stuffed hippopotamus animal, is hand-sewn using the inside-out method, in order to avoid visible seams. Each animal's face, is hand-colored to create realistic features. Hansa stuffed mechanical hippopotamus were designed utilizing photographic data of the animal in its natural habitat. Their company goal, was to educate the child, about how the animals' live in the wild and to help appreciate just how amazing these creatures really are.
