Meccano has a strong history as one of the oldest construction systems in the world, when it was first invented in England by Frank Hornby in 1898. This particular airplane was made by Meccano, France in the 1930s and is titled; “Constructeur d’Avions No1”. What make this airplane kit so unusual, is that it still has its original box and instruction pamphlet and no one has tried to repaint the airplane. In the box are an additional set of airplane wings in case you want to convert it into a bi-wing airplane. There is one front tire missing and I have located a company who makes a reproduction, but was stalling to see if I could find an old one.
