Pair of Unrestored Mies van der Rohe Brno Flat Bar Black Leather Chairs. We currently have (2) near pairs of Mies van der Rohe Brno Flat Bar Armchairs without arm pads which were optional when new and both are upholstered in black (rather tired) leather. Originally designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich in 1929-1930 for his famous Tugendhat House in Brno, Czech Republic. Our client received these chairs from a good friend back in the 1970’s and they were not new then. We’d guess that the Mies van der Rohe Armchairs were probably made in the late 1960’s. The Mies van der Rohe Chairs have become a true icon of 20th century design and blend seamlessly in almost any environment. Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe GERMANY (1886–1969) and manufactured by Knoll. United States, 1960-1969.

Condition: Good. Wear consistent with age and use. The chrome is scratched and the original leather has seen better days. We would have replaced the leather, but there are plenty of purists out there who demand the original leather and it can be brought back to life.
