We have had a natural propensity for over 30 years to find old rustic French pottery, and the larger the better. Generally, our shop will have dozens of very old French glazed terracotta pottery, in the typical mustard or green color palettes, and all will be listed. The vase, vessel, or jar shown here is roughly between 150-200 years old and probably comes from Southwestern France. Someone has made a repair to the top at some point in its life and it is rather amateur. Our intention is to improve upon it as soon as we get a free minute. This antique French terracotta pot has a great presence and could look wonderful just sitting on a kitchen counter.
