Fantastic Kitchen Island Repurposed from a Wisconsin Butcher's Table Restored. One of our favorite pickers found this extremely rare American made early 1900's Butcher's Table in the middle of Wisconsin and lets just say it was well used as one would expect. Our Old Plank restorers disassembled and disinfected the table before restoration could begin. The reason the original thick maple Butcher Block top looks so nice is that we flipped the maple top after multiple applications of bleach. We have been specializing in European style Unfitted Kitchens and French Industrial inspired Kitchen Islands for over 30-years and have never come across an original Butcher's Table that looked anything even remotely like this. It's almost as though it was born to be repurposed into someone's Kitchen Island a 100-years later. Even the solid bronze feet are a detail that we use today on our newly constructed Old Plank Kitchen Islands.
