In the Antique Trade, those of us who specialize in offering Large Farm Tables, be it French, English or Irish we are all looking for the really long tables for those are always the hardest to find. Locating an authentic Irish Farm Table in these dimensions only happens maybe once every 5-years if that. This is an Authentic Antique Irish Farm Table that will seat 14-16 people. There is over 140-inches between the legs and many of our chairs run 18” to 19” in width, so you can have 7-chairs per side. This highly unusual Antique Irish Farm Dining Table is made from Poppy Wood, which to us appears to be somewhere between a pine and a cherry wood. Definitely harder than a pine with some visual traits of the cherry. Our Old Plank workshop decided to rebuild the table structurally, while leaving the cosmetics alone, for the patina appears to be unaltered for the last 150-years. There is no evidence that our Antique Very large Farm Table was ever refinished and only required some strengthening to ensure another 150-years of use.
