Antique French Pressed Botanicals Set of Nine from Maison des Frères Maristes in Varennes-sur-Alllier, France. Grouping of (9) and many more are still available. judging by the labels the pressed botanicals are roughly 125-years old and were found in an old French Monastery School that opened in the 1890's and closed several years ago. There are several sets of Pressed Botanical groupings from six up to 24 Pressed Botanicals still available. When we ship the botanicals, we sandwich them between two pieces of plywood or similar material to guarantee a safe delivery.
"Maison des Frères Maristes" translates to "House of the Marist Brothers". This refers to the community center for the Marist Brothers, a Catholic religious order. The Brothers were dedicated to educating young people, especially those in need, and often operated a school.
**Please note that this paper is over 120 years old tears and discoloration should be expected. Sizes vary.
