Antique Terracotta Urn with a Lid mounted on a Terracotta Plinth Base purchased in Ireland. Many years ago we have a huge outdoor garden area and purchased hundred's of garden ornaments and planters from all over Europe. Today, one mostly finds items marked composition, but rarely do you ever find antique Terracotta, let alone still mounted on its original Plinth. Our Antique Terracotta Urn with Terracotta Plinth appears to have been painted white at some point in their past and the natural weathered patina is quite exceptional. They were officially described as: White Painted Terracotta Urn and Cover of baluster form, with spiral decorations on socle (means plinth) base with abstract design. My opinion, this could be as beautiful when placed indoors or outdoors. There are no obvious signs of repair.
