Cartier Sixty-Piece Silver-Plated Cutlery Set Circa late 1980's. Besides having this collection of Vintage Cartier Silver Flatware, we also have the matching Cartier La Maison du Prince Tableware Set of Plates, plus Cartier Crystal Glasses, all of which will be offered on this website for sale. Our serving of six can be best described as gently used and no they are not perfect, but you'll need to look hard to see the wear. All of our Cartier came from prior owners of one of Chicago most famous Restaurants called Le Francais in Wheeling, Illinois. The restaurant opened in 1973 and closed after three decades. CBS Sunday morning's Charles Kuralt once said to Jean Banchet when comparing Banchet to Rembrandt; "you're a regular chef like Rembrandt was just a regular painter". When and where all of this Cartier came from, we're really not sure, but a prior owner of Le Francais had it stored at his home and simply forgot he still owned this extensive collection. Additionally, we have many extra pieces which would allow for a set of 8, minus just one style.
