Italian style Farm dining table, or kitchen table with a modern twist, for the finish is a culmination of an old school wire brush technique, followed by hand-sanding and then both processes are repeated. The results speak for themselves, but the nicest part is the incredible textural feel of the wood. You are almost compelled to slide your hand over the wood for it’s a very unusual and satisfying sensation. The colors used were several shades of greys and browns all hand-mixed in our Chicago Old Plank finishing department, which in turn gives the wood depth and a beautiful patination. There is always a downside and that’s the extra amount of labor required, which we estimate is about 40-50 additional man-hours in the finishing department. The table was crafted from reclaimed white oak that was over 100-years old and you can spec your preferred dimensions and colour.
